Before admission to the theater profile, you must take a skills test where you can try out and show your skills in the field. The skills test is structured like a lesson in theater and takes place in a group together with other applicants. The skills test gives you an idea of ​​what is expected of you within the theater profile.

Once you have applied for Entréskolan's theater profile, you will be called to a skills test in February. The last day for the application is February 1.

The skills test contains various elements where you as a student are scored based on how you meet the criteria. Admission takes place later based on scores on the exam, and queue dates therefore do not matter. Points are assigned within the parts of the skills test that you can see below.

In order to be admitted to Entréskolan's theater profile, a minimum of 2 points is required in all parts of the skills test. Maximum score for each part is 5 points.

Implementation of the skills test

The skills test is carried out in groups and is structured as a lesson in theater of about 60 minutes, where the student gets the opportunity to show and get to know the skills that theater teaching contains.

The skills test is divided into four parts:

- Physical group exercise - The student's motor skills and how the student can coordinate gross and fine motor movements with the body and be able to vary and adapt their movements to the exercise and the context are tested.

- Voice practice in a group - The student's skills in using the voice as an instrument for various vocal expressions such as singing and speaking as well as being able to follow rhythm and pitch are tested.

Improvisation exercise - The student's skills in being able to vary and adapt their movements to the exercise and the context are tested.

- Group rhythm practice - The student's rhythmic skills of being able to perceive and consciously adapt their movements to the rhythm's pulse, rate and tempo are tested.

Moments that the skills test tests

  • Motor skills

The student's motor skills and how the student can coordinate gross and fine motor movements with the body as well as perform different movement combinations and adapt their movements to the exercise and the context.

  • Voice technology

The student's skills to use the voice as an instrument for various vocal expressions such as singing and speech and to be able to follow rhythm and pitch.

  • Rhythmic

The student's skills in adapting their movements to pulse, beat, rhythm and tempo.
