Within the music profile, you get to develop your instrumental and vocal musicianship, both by sheet music and by ear within various musical styles and genres. The focus is on the joy and desire to play and sing. You also get to develop your personal musical expression during performances and when creating music, as well as being sensitive and listening to others.

The lessons in music
The lessons in music focus on playing together in a band. The lessons are structured with warm-up exercises, playing and singing technique, making music by ear and according to notes based on different music genres and creating music. You will also learn basic music theory, music history and instrument care.

Instrument playing and vocal technique
You get to develop your playing technique in piano, drums, bass and guitar. You will learn rehearsal methodology and different strategies for study and practice. The playing takes place both individually and together with others in an ensemble where you are trained in interaction, interplay and communication with other musicians. Within the teaching of music, you also get to develop your singing technique both by singing according to notes and by ear. You get to practice handling the voice as an instrument both individually (solo singing) and in a group (choir singing). Monophonic and polyphonic singing, vocal care and vocal expressions in different genres are some of the areas in which you are trained.

Musical embodiment
Here we work with the musical expression where you get to develop your own musical style, interpretation and form. You will learn musical design and communication when performing in front of an audience and in collaboration with others. An important part is developing a stage presence and being able to convey a feeling to the audience. Within scenic expression, you also get to develop the integration with other forms of expression to enhance the performance, such as dance and mimicry.
In the teaching, you will also learn to compose music using voice, instruments and digital tools. This takes place based on various methods including improvisation, musical play and experimentation with musical material based on one's own thoughts and ideas.
